First Road Trip of 2022

I am so excited to be heading west again! I’ve had one hell of a year, and not in the good way. The last two months of 2021 were packed full of losses of loved ones and to say I need a vacation is putting it mildly. I’m not doing the whole “new Year, New me” thing because I rather like who I am, but I have and will continue to make some changes. I have made a couple of doctor appointments for issues I’ve not wanted to deal with. I got my nostril pierced! I’m rearranging the living room furniture. I cleared out the front room (I think it’s supposed to be a study?) and just about everything went in boxes to be donated. I set up my bullet journal for this year and I fully intend on having reason to use it!

So I’m going on a road trip with my dad! After my mom passed, my dad was talking about all the things he and my mother wanted to do and what they never got around to doing. So this is, in a way, one way we’re getting dad back into living life. I won’t say where all we’re going and, honestly, I’m not even entirely sure. I know we’re going through some gorgeous parts of Texas and we’re going into Eastern NM. We’re not taking the interstates at my request, so I’m really looking forward to seeing some of the backroad stuff we haven’t seen in a few years. Since I’m not real sure what our schedule is going to look like, I can’t really plan out any videos or anything, but watch my YouTube for some Shorts, and watch my Tik Tok for some videos too. I’ll be posting pics up on IG as well, so check that out too.

We’ll be gone a week but I’m thankful to have a friend housesit for me to take care of the dogs and my betta. It’s always so stressful leaving town without them but it really helps knowing they’re happy and comfy at home with competent care. That allows me to enjoy myself significantly more and worry a lot less. So I’ll be back soon with an update!
